Introduction

In the summer of 2023 King Hannah visited Italy, from Friuli to Emilia Romagna to Sicily to Piedmont and the Marche, playing on 5 occasions and becoming increasingly appreciated among the Italian music aficionados who are more attentive to the scene of United Kingdom. Then, in autumn, King Hannah locked themselves in Liverpool to work on their second album, which we expect for 2024. We met and interviewed them in collaboration with Sexto Unplugged Festival on the occasion of their first Italian date, July 7th in Sesto al Reghena (those who want to know how that concert went will find the review here: LINK). We hope that the transcription of the long chat we had with Hannah Merrick and Craig Whittle can convey, at least in part, the magical understanding between the two leaders and founders of the Liverpool band, with Hannah and Craig who seem to read each other's minds, whatever the topic of our talk was, their musical style or how they use social media or the musicians who inspired them and so on.

Introduction

The most attentive fans of the new prog era will certainly remember Airbridge, an English band from Norwich, active in the early 1980's.
They released the full length "Paradise Moves" in 1982 and the single "Words & Pictures" one year later but broke up before an album deal could be made. In 2011, Airbridge was reformed by the two co-founders Lorenzo Bedini and Sean Godfrey, and, despite suffering several lineup changes (including Sean, who left the band due to health problems), they have continued to this day, releasing the "Return" EP in 2013 and the "Memories Of Water" album in 2021.
On the occasion of the release of their latest album “Openings” - which features founding member Lorenzo Bedini plus the drummer Dave Dowdeswell-Allaway and the keyboardist Jason Crompton - we had a long chat about present and past.

Breve Curriculum di Marco Zordan raccontato da lui stesso.

Ho cominciato nel ’96 a formarmi professionalmente laureandomi al DAMS.
Il mio percorso professionale comincia poi nel 2000 in teatri come il Manzoni, l’Eliseo, il Vascello, il Brancaccio, il Vittoria ed il Teatro Olimpico.
Negli anni, mi sono specializzato all’Accademia Silvio D’Amico in Commedia dell’Arte e nel rapporto tra teatro e sociale. Affianco, infatti, alle attività puramente attoriali, quelle di insegnamento nelle scuole.
Gestisco inoltre uno spazio a Roma, a Trastevere: è un teatro che prende il nome dal quartiere ove è collocato all'interno del quale, io e i miei compagni di avventura coltiviamo la passione per il teatro vero, sincero, per tutti.

Andiamo a conoscerlo meglio attraverso la nostra intervista.

Il chitarrista Mike Petrone e la cantante Nico Gilli sono i fondatori dei Bastet, il cui album omonimo è stato realizzato grazie al supporto artistico di Fabio Alessandrini alla batteria e Simone Mularoni al basso. Il loro album omonimo, uscito nel 2021, contiene dieci brani di heavy metal diretto e coinvolgente e proprio grazie alla loro musica hanno cominciato a riscuotere consensi anche all'estero. Il disco, tra l'altro ottimamente recensito dal magazine tedesco "RockHard", è stato venduto in Italia, Francia, Germania, Spagna, Polonia, Grecia, Belgio ed anche in Giappone, Stati Uniti, Argentina e Canada. Al loro attivo hanno svariati concerti e, prossimamente, chi si trovasse in Puglia potrà ascoltarli e apprezzarli al Rock Metal Fest.
