Uscirà il prossimo 16 ottobre per l'etichetta Purple Pyramid il disco di debutto omonimo del progetto The Fusion Syndacate, che vede coinvolti, tra gli altri, Rick Wakeman e Tony Kaye (ex Yes), Colin Edwin e Gavin Harrison deii Porcupine Tree, Jordan Rudess dei Dream Theater, Billy Cobham, il già collaboratore di Steve Vai Billy Sheehan, David Sancious (della E-Street Band)), John Etheridge (Soft Machine), Justin Chancellor dei Tool e l'ex Gong Steve Hillage.

L'album è stato interamente scritto da Billy Sherwood, che in sede di presentazione del progetto ha dichiarato: "Quando mi hanno detto di scrivere e produrre un disco fusion mi sono gettato anima e corpo nell'impresa. Sono cresciuto ascoltando Weather Report, Return To Forever e Mahavishnu, e ho un profondo amore per il jazz e la fusion. Per questo album sono riuscito a mettere insieme un vero e proprio dream team, nel quale militano alcuni dei musicisti più rispettati a livello mondiale. Ogni musicista coinvolto ha condiviso il suo talento e il suo virtuosismo, facendolo confluire in un disegno musicale più grande, dando vita ad un'incredibile espressione di unità".
